MALMO, Sweden - Second-ranked Henrik Stenson shot an 8-under 64 to share the third-round lead with Englands Eddie Pepperell at the Nordea Masters on Saturday. Stenson had seven birdies along with an eagle on the seventh hole and a lone bogey, leaving the Swede at 13-under 203 on PGA Sweden Nationals Lakes Course. Pepperell shot a 65 that included eight birdies and one bogey. Stenson is winless this year after sweeping the European Tours Race to Dubai and PGA Tours FedEx Cup last season. "It would be huge to win at home in Sweden. I havent done that before so its something I really want to do. Ive got a good chance, but theres a long way to go," Stenson said. The highlight of the day was his 155-yard eight iron on the seventh hole. "It was an awesome shot. I hit a lot of good iron shots last year, but none that went in so it was about time," Stenson said. Pepperell said he was excited to be sharing the lead with Stenson coming into the final day. "Henrik is one of the best players in the world, hes in fine form and it is his home country," the Englishman said. "I couldnt ask for much more really from a final round." Hirscher, the Austrian two-time defending overall champion, sliced through the gates on a thrilling run down the steep final slope to beat Andre Myhrer of Sweden by 0.29 seconds. "Its maybe a stupid decision," Hirscher said about his risk-taking. "If you give a lot, you can win a lot." Teenager Henrik Kristoffersen of Norway was third, trailing 0.66 behind Hirschers combined two-run time of 1 minute, 49.75 seconds. Hirscher won this race for the past two years en route to taking the giant crystal globe as the worlds best Alpine skier. "Its very wonderful here," Hirscher said of the historic venue which has featured since the World Cup started in 1967. "Its kind of a special race and its working pretty well for me." Felix Neureuther of Germany lost his unbeaten record in 2014 by straddling a gate when poised to challenge Hirschers time.
